Sustainability is an integral part of our corporate culture. One outstanding example of our commitment is our own photovoltaic system, which has covered a significant proportion of our energy requirements since 2021. In 2023, we were able to cover almost 33% of our total electricity needs with the power of the sun. This environmentally friendly energy source enables us to generate green electricity and thus reduce our ecological footprint.
The sun's rays are captured by numerous solar modules on the roof of our production hall and converted into electrical energy. In 2023, we generated almost 450,000 kWh of green electricity, of which almost 165,000 kWh was fed into the public grid. This amount of energy fed into the grid corresponds to the annual energy consumption of around 48 private households in Germany, which we were thus able to supply indirectly with low CO₂ emissions. This clearly illustrates the positive environmental impact of our system.
The use of photovoltaics is not only a step towards independence from fossil fuels, but also a significant contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. In contrast to conventional energy sources, which release considerable amounts of CO₂, our photovoltaic system does not cause any harmful emissions. This supports our goal of actively contributing to climate protection.
The photovoltaic system serves as a visible symbol of our commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. We are proud to be able to make an important contribution to promoting renewable energy and reducing CO₂ emissions. At the same time, we hope to inspire other companies to take similar steps and work together towards a more sustainable future.
